Rock House Project is an Ohio nonprofit corporation in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. While we can legally accept gifts right now, donors should note that contributions are not currently tax-deductible until the IRS approves our application.
If you’re planning your estate or have inherited a home, you may be considering what to do with the property. Donating it can be a meaningful way to support your community and create new opportunities for others. Click the button below to speak with our Advisor about how you can begin the process. See below for more information about the tax benefits for donating a home.

When you donate a home to our organization, you help us provide employment opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals who renovate homes for themselves, their families, and others in need.
A property donation may qualify for a charitable tax deduction, depending on your circumstances, the property, and the organization’s eligibility. In some cases, unused portions of a charitable tax deduction may be carried forward to future tax years, ultimately saving you in taxes paid over multiple years!
Whether you’re considering a gift through your will or trust or looking at options for a home you’ve inherited, we encourage you to speak with your estate planning attorney or tax advisor to understand the potential benefits and requirements.
